ML whistleblower claim leads to $148 million federal and state settlement

MoloLamken represented three former employees of Ireland-based pharmaceutical manufacturer, Warner Chillcott, in federal and state whistleblower actions that resulted in a combined civil and criminal penalty in excess of $148 million. The former employees exposed the illegal promotion of seven drugs. The federal case was brought in the United States District Court in Boston under the federal False Claims Act. A companion case was brought under the California Insurance Fraud Prevention Act in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Read more here.
